Apple x Laugh And Belly
Apple Inc. is an American multinational technology company headquartered in Cupertino, California, that designs, develops, and sells consumer electronics, computer software, and online services.
This is a huge dream come true. I had to pinch myself twice when I was contacted by Bee Ping, the Programming Expert from Apple. Holy guacamole. Huge thank you to Uncle Dave, a fellow creative, for referring me to Apple!
For the campaign, I created a series of fruit illustrations to be plastered on Apple's super huge screens at Apple Orchard Road (Singapore) for an entire week.
I was also invited as a guest speaker to share and teach about my experience as a self-taught illustrator and how I create puns and draw my illustrations on the iPad / Procreate.
All photos are shot by my awesome father and the staff photographer from Apple.
Apple Singapore reached out to me to do an Art Lab session for their "Today At Apple: Little Big Ideas" series.
As the session is targeted at kids and their parents during the June holidays, I created a collection of punny fruits for all ages to enjoy. Though, it didn't stop the teenagers and young adults from joining the session.
Apple approved of this series and used a few fruits to use on their marketing assets for Instagram and their official website.
In 3 days, the event is fully booked. When I received that news, imagine me jump up and down while hypeventilating.
As a personal initiative and thank-you to all the participants who attended the workshop, I created a limited edition waterproof sticker for the first 15 who submits their artwork to me during the "execute what you've learned" time.
When the children received the stickers, they were overjoyed. It makes me smile whenever I see children finding happiness in the little things.
At the end of the event, everyone submitted their artwork and I compiled all of them into one and we celebrated!
The participants were encouraged to speak and share about the artwork and pun that they have produced.
Receiving this opportunity from Apple is a D-R-E-A-M! Thank you so much to the A Team for scouting me as a talent!
